Pricing & Insurance
It is very important to us at Sound Consulting Associates that our clients are able to receive the care they need without feeling financially burdened. We will work with you! We accept various forms of payment such as credit cards, debit cards, HSA, and online payment platforms to provide further flexibility and convenience for our clients.
We do request 24 hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You will be charged the full amount for the session you missed if we don’t receive 24 hours notice. We understand that life happens, however, and emergencies come up. Call us to discuss. We will work with you.
Insurance
At this time, Sound Consulting Associates does not accept insurance. However, if your insurance accepts an out of network provider, we are happy to work with you to complete a claim form at our convenience for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note, Sound Consulting Associates and Lisa Fiala, LCSW are not responsible for any non-payment or reimbursement from your insurance company and you will still be responsible for the full fee of the session at each visit. It is your responsibility to discuss this with your insurance company further to see if you meet criteria for this option.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Most of Sound Consulting Associates’ services are not clinical: advocacy, coaching, and consultation. Only clinical assessments and treatment are applicable. Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and facilities are required to inform individuals who do not have or are not using insurance a “Good Faith Estimate” of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy. You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. However, you must receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your scheduled service or item when scheduled 3 days in advance and at least 3 business days prior to your appointment when scheduled 10 days in advance.
Psychotherapy is unique in that it is not possible to predict how your personal therapeutic process will unfold until we get started. There are many factors that contribute to this and every one is different. You may only want a full assessment to use in court, you may want individual psychotherapy, you may want to work with a clinician and your children. We will do our best to give you a the best estimate we can.
You have the right to dispute your charges if: you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, and you make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
You can call Lisa Fiala to discuss 203.817.2862.
